Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen is my name. I'm a Vietnamese American Entrepreneur living in Orange County California. My incredible fiance JP as well as my happiest Dad Henry are also part of our clan. Many people are familiar with me via my Instagram platform, @annephung. I share my life- my highs, lows and all in between. My parents accompanied me into America in the year 1990, at which point I was just a year old. I wouldn't be sharing my story with you today without my parents' efforts to work hard and make sacrifices. Knowing I had an opportunity to have a brighter future, I strived to impress them and had tunnel vision when it came to achievement. I thought my life would go a certain way: graduate from college, land a corporate position, get married and start with a family. This was my vision of what success would look like. But the reality of life changed my plans. In 2013, I found I disliked my corporate position. Even though the compensation and status were good however, I wasn't sure if it fulfilled me. Instead I felt that I was just spending my time. My love of fitness and my love of socializing with other people led me to discover my dream job as an instructor. In 2014, I founded my small company which will mark my 7th year anniversary by 2021. It's rare to meet an Asian female in the business. As an instructor, my aim is to inspire others and empower them to live a healthy and happy life by creating healthy and sustainable living styles that meet every person's individual needs and desires. Additionally, I want to encourage individuals to follow their goals and achieve whatever they would like to do in their life. In the beginning of my job, the passing of my mother was the greatest loss to me. In Heaven she rests now in peace after a long battle with Scleroderma. But I still carry the memory of her daily. The lessons of life can be hidden from us however they are very beneficial. My mom's death changed my life in so many ways. I truly believe that my Mom gave me another chance at life through her passing. Her passing in the year of Tet/Lunar New Year Day was an opportunity for her to begin an entirely new chapter. It was my second chance to live a full and happy life. Now into my 30's I feel alive and aware I truly feel that I live my life now instead of merely surviving as I was in my past. In sharing my story I hope my story will be a source of inspiration for you. It is my wish to make you aware that you're never alone. You have the ability to achieve everything you desire. I wish you to live the life you want to live and to die with no regrets as death is the only possibility that awaits us in our life.
